RUNNING F.GODMOM UNDER WINDOWS
Do you want to run F.Godmom from Windows? If so, read on. This file
contains detailed instructions on how to set up icons for running
F.Godmom and Fifty Extra Levels For The Game F.Godmom under Windows.
OK, let us assume that you have copied all the files from the disk I
sent you to a C:\FG40 directory on your hard drive. (Substitute the
directory you actually used for the rest of the example.)
First, highlight the program group in which you wish to create your
F.Godmom icons (probably the "Games" group). Then, select File..New
from the Windows Program Manager, and select "Program Item" to create
a new icon. Under the "Program Item Properties" window, fill in the
fields with the following entries:
Description: F.Godmom
Command Line: C:\FG40\FGODMOM.EXE AMREGD IP AW
Now you need to select the icon. Click on "Change Icon..." and "OK"
to get the "Change Icon" window. Under "File Name", enter
C:\FG40\FGODMOM5.ICO (or use the "Browse..." button to call up the
browsing window). Click on the two "OK" buttons, and you should see
the F.Godmom icon appear; double click on your new icon to make sure
it works.
Repeat the process to create an icon for the extra levels. This time,
however, fill out the "Program Item Properties" window with the
following:
Description: F.Godmom Extra Levels
Command Line: C:\FG40\FGODMOM.EXE AMREGD IP AW LNS
(Note the extra "LNS" in the command line. It makes the program load
the extra levels.)
When it comes time to select the icon, I suggest using FGODMOM3.ICO.
Then you can put the icons side by side for a cute little fairy/crab
motif. (Do I have too much extra time on my hands or what?)
So that's it. If you followed my instructions, you should have a
couple new icons in the Games group for starting two F.Godmom and the
Extra Levels.
